When To Get Wheel Alignment
How do you know when your vehicle needs a wheel alignment? This is a question our customers often ask us, so here a few signs to look out for that indicate your vehicle probably needs an alignment:
- Vibration in your steering wheel
- A constant pulling to one side when driving
- Uneven tyre wear – Check your tyres for edge wear
- When driving straight your steering wheel does not return to centre
- You have recently hit a curb or large pothole at speed
- You haven’t had an alignment in over a year – It’s good practice to get your alignment checked annually.
Why is it important to get your wheels aligned?
The short answer:
Having your wheels correctly aligned will help keep your vehicle safer on the road.
Poorly aligned wheels increase the risk of accidents through:
- Driver fatigue – A vehicle that is constantly pulling or vibrating can tire you out
- Uneven breaking caused by uneven tyre wear
- Increased difficulty when cornering
- Tyre blow outs due to uneven tyre wear
Keep yourself and others safe on the roads by getting a wheel alignment every 12 months or 12,000 kms.
